KACEY PREUN NAMED ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Following two victories against Vanderbilt, Kacey Preun has been named Marshall Student-Athlete of the Week.

Preun, a freshman, has been one of the Thundering Herd's top swimmers this season. To-date, she has collected 19 victories, which includes the top finish in the 200-yard Freestyle and 200-yard Breaststroke this past Saturday against Vanderbilt.

The St. Andrews, Manitoba native has been perfect this season in the 200-yard Breaststroke with seven victories and the 200-yard Freestyle with four first-place finishes. In total, Preun has been victorious in over half of the events she has participated in.

Preun also has helped her team collect the most wins as member of Conference USA (7) and the second most in program history.
