Our Mini Marlins program is a goal oriented learn-to-swim program for children who have completed Red Cross Swim Kids Level 4. The emphasis at this level is on the acquisition of aquatic fundamentals and swimming skills in a fun and safe environment! Whether your goal is safety, stroke enhancement, exercise, or fun, we offer swimmers valuable and useful skills that will enhance their safety and swimming ability.
Objectives and Focus of MINI MARLINS:
- Development of speed, power and endurance through age and stage appropriate activities and games
- Basic movement literacy
- ABC’s (agility, balance, coordination and speed)
- Well structured program with progression monitored on a regular basis
- Introduction of the competitive experience through fun, skill based “meets”
Registration Guidelines for MINI MARLINS Winter Session:
- Assessments will take place during the week of December 15th to 19th (please call the MARLINS office at 453-4213 or e-mail manitobamarlins@mts.net to schedule an assessment)
- Once your child has been assessed, please complete the following forms: Registration, Website Consent, Medical Release and FIPPA
- Please return completed forms, along with applicable fees, to the MARLINS office either in person, or by mail.
All swimmers in Manitoba must also register with Swim Canada. Once you have registered with the MARLINS, an email will be sent to you from Swim Canada. Please complete the National Registration process through the link provided in the Swim Canada email.
MINI MARLINS Winter Session 2009:
Twice a week classes:
12 week session, beginning the week of January 5th; ending the week of March 23rd:
- Monday / Wednesday 7:00-8:00pm
- Tuesday / Friday 5:30-6:30pm
Once a week classes:
12 week session, beginning the week of January 5th; ending the week of March 23rd:
- Monday 7:00-8:00pm
- Wednesday 5:30-6:30pm
- Thursday 7:00-8:00pm
- Saturday 12:00-1:00pm
MINI MARLINS Swim Fees:
Twice a week: $175.00
Once a week: $100.00

- Please note that there will be no refunds issued after the third week of classes has begun
- For safety and consistency in programming, we are unable to allow make up classes for individual swimmers
